L'ÉTOILE MAISON D'HÔTES
Charming guest house with veranda, ideal for a stopover or an extended stay.
"If you're passing through, there's always cold beer and hot coffee! That's the promise of Philippe, the innkeeper of this former holiday hotel built in 1926. Situated on the banks of the Allier, the guest house is as warm and welcoming as its owner, with several spacious rooms and a dormitory. The garden overlooking the river and the beautiful period veranda give the place an anachronistic character that appeals to hikers from all over the world. The cuisine (evening meals and breakfast) is family-style and generous.

This is a fantastic place. We were here 22 years ago, and we went back this summer to find it even more beautiful, comfortable and peaceful. ||The building has been well maintained and tastefully decorated. Philippe takes such good care of the place. ||Our room was very spacious - the bathroom was almost as big as our main bedroom ! ||The walkers and travellers get together to eat together around the fireplace has always been the tradition. Some play the piano and some read the books made available at various places in the building.
Excellent accueil de Philippe en plus un cordon bleu hors pair
