Véronique and Denis Dessaint welcome you to the heart of Florac in Lozère, in an old house that has been converted into a restaurant and bed & breakfast. The innovative chef serves local specialties on the menu and à la carte, and cooks local produce such as Pélardon, Bleu des Causses and trout. Whether in the sleekly styled dining room or on the flower-filled patio, with its occasional artists' exhibitions, nothing will disturb your peace and quiet.

Somewhat hidden in the small streets of quaint Florac, nestled on the edge of the Gorges du Tarn and the Cévennes, at the foothills of the Causse Méjean is this family-owned restaurant and bed and breakfast. I had the pleasure of tasting their lunch menu, chosen each day by the chef Denis and served by his wife Véronique and it was excellent cuisine made with local products
