This spinning mill is both a museum and a cultural venue, hosting exhibitions by local artists and craftspeople

If Lozère is known for its agricultural activity, its industrial past is less known. The Calquières spinning mill museum brings it back to life, with its 19th century machines still powered by a paddle wheel. Both a museum and a cultural place, the spinning mill offers workshops for young people and hosts exhibitions of local artists and craftsmen. In the shop you can find raw wool in hanks and knitted goods.

Superb museum, interesting visit, it is a shame that the monsieur only speak technical, and history, nothing, on the spinning mill or the region, unfortunately...
