Dargilan or Pink Cave, discovered in 1880, where you can observe tubular concretions and explore underground chambers

It's the "pink cave of the Causse Noir", pink because of the iron oxide that creates pinks and a beautiful palette of yellows and ochres. Discovered by a young Cévennes shepherd, it wasn't explored until 1888. Its special features soon earned it a reputation, and the site was opened to visitors as early as 1890. Concretions and crystallizations rival each other in beauty. There are the draperies, the great bell tower, the waterfall, the minaret and more. Above all, the cave is home to one of France's largest underground chambers, and a 1.5 km-long trail.

I would like to thank the organisation for opening this cave in winter time. It is a brilliant experience in winter time! Now the cave is warmer than outside and it is quiet....oh so quiet inside. We were just 5 people with Sarah as our guide, it was fantastic. To be at the lowest point of the cave and switch off all the lights and just stand there in pitch black darkness listening to the drops of water forming this amazing cave. A truly wonderfull experience!

Franchement superbe visite et la sensation à la fin de la descente est juste énorme !!! Les explorateurs de l'époque avez du cran!!! Bonne visite aux futurs lecteur de l'avis. Je ne spoile pas trop la visite mais c'est juste à faire. Et petit plus pour nos amis les chiens, ils ont le droits de faire la visite !!! ????

Mon garçon de 4ans en parle encore!!! ????????

Encontrar este lugar fue todo un acierto, es una gruta muy variada y además hermosa. El personal amable y super detallistas. Te dan una hoja para que vayas siguiendo las explicaciones en castellano, que es un punto a favor.
Salimos felices de la visita y además con buena energía de haber estado en contacto con la naturaleza.
Además el camino está genial, puedes hacer paradas en los pueblitos que están lindos!
No pongo demasiadas fotos para no delatar la cereza del pastel y que cada quien tenga su experiencia.
