In Pied-de-Borne, chestnuts or, according to the false but often used name, "marron" are grown and processed. Located in the hamlet, the company Fariborne produces organic chestnut flour. The organically grown chestnuts are dried and then sorted by hand before being ground in the mill. There is also organic chestnut cream prepared according to a traditional Cevennes recipe and natural chestnuts in jars stewed dry to obtain tender and soft chestnuts.
