THE FORTIFIED VILLAGE OF THE GUARDIAN-GUARD
One of France's Most Beautiful Villages, this village comes to life in summer
Perched at an altitude of almost 900 meters on a plateau traversed by the legendary Chemin de Régordane, which once linked the Mediterranean to the Auvergne, this fortified village reveals its ramparts, dominated by an imposing watchtower and the Chapelle Saint-Michel. Today, La Garde-Guérin preserves its history, integrated into a natural landscape that gives it a wild beauty. Designated as one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France, the village comes alive during the summer season.

Les maisons sont très bien conservées à l'exception du château dont seule la tour est encore debout, On remonte le temps pour se croire au moyen-age, et on ne serait pas surpris d'y croiser Godefroy de Montmirail et son fidèle Jaquouille.
