THE CASTLE OF SAINT-PIERRE
Château de Saint-Pierre, part of the Lords of Anduze family, with a new keep at Saint-Germain-de-Calberte
Also known as Château de St-Germain-de-Calberte, this site was first mentioned in 1092 and built between the 11th and 14th centuries, being affiliated to the Lords of Anduze family. Abandoned in the 15th century, it has since 1965 been the subject of a restoration process undertaken by a passionate family. Now almost complete, the 12th-century keep and 15th-century defense system can once again be admired.
