This brand of chestnut-based specialities gives pride of place to organic and human relations. Castane is the result of a handful of producers from the Cévennes, who decided to combine their know-how to produce good and quality products. Syrup, coulis, cream, or plain chestnuts are made from local Cévennes varieties (figarette or pellegrine) harvested by hand and worked in an artisanal way. These delicacies, concentrated in aroma and natural sugars, are on sale at L'étape des sens in Aumont-Aubrac, and in the boutique Le cellier du Gévaudan in Marvejols.
