Hamlet dominated by the ruins of a castle and sheltering charming semi-troglodytic houses, accessible by a shaded path
One of the most famous sites of the Tarn gorges. The road overhangs the gorge and, below, on the opposite bank, hangs the hamlet of Castelbouc, dominated by the ruins of its castle, and inhabited by semi-troglodytic houses of undeniable charm. The access to the castle is by a shaded path, but the climb is quite sportive to reach the castle platform. Nearby, the road passes Prades, an ancient fortress, built and modified between the 12th and 16th centuries on a rocky spur overlooking the Tarn.
