Expect to see a tower, as this is what remains of this ancient castle with its mysterious history. Under the control of the Viscount de Taxo family, the castle was ceded to the Abbey of Fontfroide at the end of the 12th century. In 1143, Count Gaufred recovered Pujol militarily after a conflict with Viscount Berenger de Llupia. The castle then passed to the Counts of Barcelona and the King of Majorca. In 1343, the King of Aragon took Pujol after several sieges.
