AUBERGE DU ROUA
Mediterranean cuisine in a hostel with swimming pool in Argelès-sur-Mer
It's only in the evening (except Sunday lunchtimes) that you can enjoy a meal at the Auberge du Roua. Whether you choose to sit by the pool at the foot of an elegant farmhouse, or in one of the beautiful vaulted rooms, you'll feel right at home. Here, refined cuisine with subtle Mediterranean notes is served. The atmosphere is devilishly romantic, the plates are beautifully laid out and the flavors are on point. For starters, the lobster salad with vegetables flavored with ginger and lemon oil, and a shellfish emulsion was a big hit, followed by an oven-roasted veal chop (from France), pea purée, parmesan emulsion and banyuls jus. The chef's creativity shines through! Finally, for dessert, the dark chocolate and banana croustillant with white chocolate ice cream and the fresh raspberry crunch with yuzu cream and raspberry sorbet made us melt... It's the ideal address for romantic dinners!

We had a nice stay, good food, and found on our own a great spot to wine taste on a Monday! (Visit Maison Albera for wines)|We appreciated the good service at Auberge du Roua.| (Do your own research for where to visit/eat as there is no lists at the auberge)

Really lovely hotel and staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Very quiet location so you’d definitely need a car. Restaurants in the closest town were closed on Sunday night so we went to Collioure which is such a lovely place. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant on the first night which we enjoyed. Again, lovely friendly staff there too.
