COMMUNAUTÉ DE COMMUNES SUD CANIGÓ
Sud Canigó was created by the elected representatives of the 14 municipalities of Haut-Vallespir, and is a brand that reflects its inhabitants, its culture and its history. The Catalan hinterland is rich but unknown to the general public, men and women fight every day to bring its wonderful heritage to the attention of all. So, we would like to praise the intelligence of these municipalities to federate under the name of Sud Canigó. They created the centre for crafts and the arts and crafts trail, centred on a walk along the Tech de Palalda in Arles sur Tech, rehabilitated the Gîte de Batère, built the fabulous gîte de Sant-Guillem au Tech, renovated the centre la Baillie, now called the Centre Pleine Nature Sud Canigó, launched the restoration of the Batère signal tower, made the hiking trails around the Canigó accessible... This is not smoke and mirrors, if you study the logo you will find the bear's paw, the 5 highest peaks protecting the Canigó, the symbol of signal towers and the overlapping colours that guarantee the union and complementarity of municipalities on all political sides. Le Petit Futé has been won over by this osmosis between men and mountains, values that we would like to meet more often. The southernmost territory of France with its inhabitants who pass on knowledge and traditions will surprise you... I urge you to see for yourself.
