Restaurant offering an inventive cuisine based on local products.

Things are moving in Banyuls. Not on the seafront, but in a charming pedestrian street off the beaten track. Aurélien, a chef by trade, is a real magician in the kitchen. It's very good and very fine but what seduced us was the mix of cuisines and flavours: a declaration of love to France and Spain. The menu changes regularly and the name of each dish is like an alexandrine. The cuisine is offbeat and daring, based on local products and fine craftsmanship. The Quintessence claims to be an inventive cuisine, and we would add passionate!

Quel bonheur de trouver ce restaurant à Banyuls! La cuisine est fine, bien présentée et les plats sont très bons.
Avec les vins de la région et un chef qui a la passion pour son métier et ses clients.
Nous avons passé un super moment et on s’est régalé.
Nous recommandons ce bijou et nous reviendrons sans hésitation.

Ne pas hésiter une seconde ! Quels délices ! Tout est succulent, des associations de saveurs hors du commun. Très jolies présentations. Un jeune chef très passionné qui se ressent dans les assiettes. Dans une ruelle de Banyuls qui change des affluences de bords de mers. Les serveurs sont adorables. Accueil chaleureux et professionnel.
