AQUARIUM ONIRIA - CANET-EN-ROUSSILLON
Inaugurated in June 2021, the building houses the aquarium, a jungle, an exhibition room... Everything to understand the metamorphosis of water.
Discover an immersive adventure that will help you understand the different metamorphoses of water! The visit to the Oniria Aquarium in Canet-en-Roussillon focuses on water and its different physical states. This water, initially symbolized by a single drop, will be followed in different biotopes around the world, an adventure starting at an altitude of around 3,000 meters, from the summit of the Canigó mountain to the depths of the ocean abysses. Oniria's journey is structured around ten universes: mountains, beaches and jungles are just some of the areas to be discovered. Venture through the rainforest, then dare the adventure of an underwater world tour. Observe, smell and touch what even your imagination couldn't have imagined. Step up to the panoramic window accessible from the course, to enter the world of grey and blacktip sharks. You'll also be able to observe numerous fish such as giant groupers and batfish. In the "Travel back in time" area, you'll encounter amphibians, fish and prehistoric molluscs. The journey of the water drop will take you from the beach at Canet to the Strait of Gibraltar. Finally, enter the projection room to learn more about the vast aquatic world, thanks to Cyril Tricot's magnificent reports and documentaries. An aquarium to visit with your family and friends. Young and old alike will be amazed!
