Inaugurated in 2016, the Statuaire des Transbordeuses is a memorial designed by Swiss artist Olivier Mosset to pay homage to Cerbère's transbordeuses d'oranges. In 1906, these women triggered the first general strike of women workers in France, thus marking the country's social history. The project, initiated by the Shandynamiques association, aims to shed light on these often forgotten figures of history, by dedicating a space of memory and recognition to them.
