A poster store offering a glimpse of Fauvism through some twenty paintings in the very places where they were painted.
In May 1905, Matisse and Derain discovered Collioure. Fauvism was born of this encounter. A circuit has been created through the streets of the town, punctuated by some twenty reproductions of paintings in the very places where they were painted. Thanks to this living showcase, we can witness the birth of one of the most important movements in 20th-century painting, Fauvism. The Maison du Fauvisme offers a number of guided tours from April to October: "Le chemin du Fauvisme", exploration of the forts, Collioure insolite, "L'expérience ludique", etc.
