LE CHALET DE L'ALBERE
Homemade cuisine made with local products in a high-altitude restaurant with a terrace offering a beautiful view of the Pyrenees in L'Albère.
Restaurant, tea room or gîte d'étape. It's up to you. At more than 900 metres above sea level, at the Col de l'Ullat, you will discover a small paradise of freshness under the foliage of black pines and beeches. Nolwen offers a nice traditional cuisine with southern accents. Here, everything is home-made or comes from local producers (organic if possible), that's the motto! Service is provided at all hours, and when the weather is fine, you have the pleasure of sitting on one of the most beautiful terraces in the department! Panoramic view to the south and west over the French and Spanish Pyrenees. The chalet is a stage on the GR 10 which crosses the Pyrenees, the Col de l'Ullat being the last stop before plunging into the deep blue. To enjoy a homemade cake on the terrace, feast on a pork cheek with chorizo or enjoy a cool night in the mountains, the Chalet de l'Albère is there to make you happy... far from the crowds of beaches.
