Put into service in 1910, the Train Jaune was designed to serve the whole of the Pyrénées-Orientales department, linking the high plateaus of Cerdagne and Capcir with the prefecture. It holds the title of Europe's highest electrified line, stretching 63 kilometers and passing through 22 stations. All along its route, the Train Jaune maintains an average speed of 30 km/h. Allow around 3 hours for the outward journey and 3 hours for the return, offering a memorable sightseeing excursion between Latour-de-Carol and Villefranche-de-Conflent.
