Bistro with terrace offering local cuisine.
Florence and Peter have taken over this small Bistrot de Pays, just next to the town hall. It is a real Bistro de Pays as we like to discover during our wanderings. This former painter's studio is now decorated in the "Catalan way", and in order not to break with its origins, it is local artists who cling to the picture rails. The room is not very large, only about twenty place settings. On the south-facing terrace, you can have a drink with homemade pastries. The menus are made day to day, according to the seasons and according to the products of the market and the picking of mushrooms, it is a generous, good and simple cuisine that highlights the richness of the land: Picoulat bowls, pork galtes (cheeks), leg of lamb with 9 spices and homemade herbs, chicken stuffed with Catalan tome and coated with Serrano, gratin cod, pork fillet with goat and chorizo... The roasted figs with blue and smoked ham and a drizzle of banyuls vinegar are worth a visit. A charming place with a very friendly welcome from Florence who knows the region inside out. Remember that the room is small and the address is somewhat successful, so it is strongly recommended to book.

Wederom heerlijk gegeten op deze sfeervolle plek. De risotto was iets te droog. Maar men kwam vriendelijk vragen wat er nog te verbeteren was. Dat is een puntje plus.
