Osséja is a charming village at an altitude of 1,200 meters, at the foot of the Puigmal massif. With its position on the Spanish border and its proximity to Andorra, Osséja offers many assets and activities to attract visitors all year round. The village has a population of around 1400 and is included in the Parc Naturel Régional des Pyrénées-Catalanes. It enjoys an exceptionally sunny climate and an invigorating mountain atmosphere with a gentle Mediterranean influence. Osséja is recognized as a green resort, offering a privileged natural environment with an immense forest and numerous marked hiking trails for walking, snowshoeing, and mountain biking. In addition to its unspoilt nature, Osséja also offers walks through the village, with its Romanesque church, ancient mills, picturesque lanes, and fountains. The lake below the village is an ideal place to relax, with picnic areas and activities for children. Traditional festivals such as Saint Peter's Day, the International Sheepdog Competition, and the Catalan Festival are not to be missed in the Vanéra valley.
