THE MONASTIR DEL CAMP
A superb example of Romanesque architecture in Passa, the monastery of the camp consists of a church with a single nave from the century.
A superb example of Romanesque architecture, the Priory consists of an 11th-century church with a single nave adorned with a magnificent white marble portal from Céret, capitals attributed to the enigmatic Master of Cabestany, a cloister with three-lobed arches from the 14th century and several former monastic buildings. Occupied by Augustinian canons, the estate was sold in 1786 to the Jaubert de Passa family, whose descendants still occupy the premises today. Today the monastery has a cultural vocation centred on exhibitions, conferences and concerts.
