CASA PORTUGUESA
Portuguese restaurant with terrace in Perpignan.
You can already feel in Portugal when you open the door of this restaurant, white walls, azulejos, covered terrace and shaded garden, and fado in background music. The dish initiates us into a cuisine about which little is known after all. the bacalhau comes in various recipes: cod on the grill with parsley, in the oven with tomatoes, onions and peppers, steamed, with seafood, served à la cataplama. Among the specialties, the frango churrasco (braised chicken), to eat on the spot or take away and the famous skewers with sword, the espetadas or the delicious piglet in the oven. For dessert, a homemade flan; the baba de camélo, literally "the dribble of camel", a fluffy cream with milk jam. The vinho verde, a white "green" wine slightly sparkling with a low degree ideal for summer; the ports are taken as an aperitif, but also on a dessert. New for 2014, Casa Portuguesa has opened a new restaurant in the Northern Polygon area. Here, in a setting with refined lines, you have the choice between a self formula with menus at low prices at lunchtime, a traditional restaurant in the evening as well as a drive to take away and enjoy your favourite dishes at home ... even a whole grilled piglet, if you order it 48 hours in advance!

Les serveurs ont juste fait leur travail, ce qui semblait inspiré par une direction peu amicale. L'endroit manquait d'esprit pour le rendre agréable.

Dorade was fresh and well prepared the mixed grilled meat was just OK. Better go for less quantity and better meat. What was disappointing was the atmosphere.
Servers just did their thing which seemed inspired by unfriendly management. Place was lacking esprit to make it enjoyable.
