Since its creation in 1962, the film club has come a long way and now has the status of a cultural centre. In the Marcel-Oms room, about 20 films are shown every quarter, often followed by rich and constructive debates on the relationship between the film and its time. The Institut Jean-Vigo is currently the only permanent French centre for animation and film research with an associative structure.

On ne peut que regretter que cette cinémathèque ne diffuse pas plus de films, car leur choix est toujours intéressant. Il y en a de plus pour tous les goûts. C'est l'occasion de redécouvrir par exemple quelques chefs d'oeuvre anciens et parfois injustement oubliés. Et surtout, restez pour le débat quand il y en a un : ils sont toujours instructifs !
