FESTIVAL DE MUSIQUE EN CATALOGNE ROMANE

The 35^th edition, in 2018, under the chairmanship of Philippe Leclant, founding director of the Maguelone Festival and Encounters with Early Music in Pic-Saint-Loup was magnificent. And say that this festival has almost disappeared! An eclectic programming for this festival born and whose one of the mottos is «to give a real space to early music on original instruments». Baroque works, medieval music, recitals of luth, harpsichord, harp, oboe and percussions to discover or rediscover in Catalan Romanesque high places with perfect acoustics. The concerts of this itinerant festival take place at different locations in the department: the Sainte Marie du Boulou church, the abbatial church of Saint-Génis-des-Fontaines, the abbatial church of Saint-André-de-Sorède or sometimes in the St-Mathieu de Perpignan church or at the cathedral of Elne… Intimate, rare and beautiful. The association Les Muses en Dialogue really does a great job.
