The Bressola association was founded in 1976 to promote Catalan language teaching in North Catalonia. It set up the first immersion school in Perpignan, with 7 children. For many years, she fought for recognition and subsidies. Today, with 7 schools and 1 collège, and over 1,000 students, La Bressola has become a benchmark for education, language immersion, culture and associations in the country.
