The oldest part of the palace hosts cultural events throughout the year
Residence of the sovereigns of Majorca in the 13th century, this imposing palace dominates the city. It is surrounded by six towers and opens onto a gigantic central courtyard. The austere architecture is enhanced by some Gothic and Mediterranean elements. After the annexation of Roussillon, Vauban consolidated the citadel. The lower part is still occupied by the army. The oldest part hosts cultural events all year round, the hanging gardens concerts in summer.

Ce palais pourrait être splendide mais quand nous avons fait la visite en juin 2016 et il était encore en grande partie en travaux + la tour fermée pour cause de vigipirate...
Les salles sont grandes, mais assez vides ! On imagine la vie qui a du y être menée...
Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas davantage de mobilier.
A voir quand même si vous avez un peu de temps (l'entrée est à 4 euros, donc raisonnable)
En plus, le prix est vraiment pas cher !
