Nature reserve known for its geological diversity and mineral wealth at Prats-de-Mollo-la-Preste.
The reserve covers 2,300 ha, stretching from the source of the River Tech to Pla Guillem, with the peak of Costabonne (2,464 m) as its highest point. This fragile, and therefore protected, site occupies a cirque of grandiose mountains on the southern slopes of the Canigó massif. The area is unique in its plant diversity, with all mountain levels present from 1,000 m to 2,500 m, as well as in its exceptional fauna.
