Gourmet address offering dishes with an excellent quality/price ratio.
Jérémy has been holding the kitchen here for many years. Still young, this grandson and son of restaurant owners has known the job since more than 25 years. He makes pizzas (top ones) because he is from Italy but you can also come to savour his regional delicacies. Sea food grills are among his favourite dishes, the mussels au gratin with aïoli are not bad either. Gourmets will appreciate the homemade foie gras with sweet wine from the village – a pure delight –, and the Fréginat de Baixas, minced beef served with a tomato sauce and aioli. For dessert, the large profiteroles are aptly named and the homemade Catalan cream is lighter. The wines and sweet wines are from the village and Jérémy has them all. The atmosphere is in a good mood and smile, whatever the season. The decoration is just like the wine with its local colour; local artists have immortalised some beautiful points of Salses and its surroundings. You will have understood it, it is an address with excellent value for money the way Petit Futé likes them. After the visit of the fort, this is the place you need.
