The ESAT enables disabled people to return to work.
For nearly 8 centuries, the hackberry tree has been cultivated in Sorède. The flexible rods that come from it were used for decades by carters to drive their carriages. Today, it is the only and last artisanal workshop (where everything is made by hand) for the production of whips and whips intended for the equestrian art as well as for a brand of luxury bags. The ESAT allows disabled people to find an activity, while perpetuating an ancestral manufacturing tradition in the village. Free visit of the workshops.
