TERROIR ET CANIGOU
Some nostalgic people still dream of a time that people under twenty cannot know. They will be happy to know that the artisanal biscuit factory Terroir et Canigou is working hard to produce local products in the traditional way. In this shop, which smells like Catalonia, you can find all kinds of specialities: bunyetes, turrets, carquinyoles, rusks, crabs, cakes, arms of Venus, Catalan mille-feuilles, Norwegian omelette... all homemade and made by Laurent Mach. This artisan biscuit maker has been at a good school since this passion for pastry is passed on generation after generation. His simple but honourable plan consists in "maintaining the gestures of yesteryear, a know-how that[...] is being lost and withered away". Let us wish a long life to this establishment which only seeks to allow the older generations to rediscover the flavours of their childhood.
