Church located in Allassac, whose south portal is typically Limousin Romanesque.
An impressive church in black schist enhanced with red sandstone, combining styles and periods, Romanesque, Gothic, Baroque. The south portal is typically Limousin Romanesque with its toroes and poly-lobed inner vault. The massive bell-tower-porch stands above the village. Square in shape, it is equipped with machicolations (14th century) which gives it the appearance of a fortress. The interior houses remarkable furniture: a large baroque altarpiece (1679) in the form of a triptych and a carved wooden pulpit, works of the Duhamel brothers, an 18th century pietà with delicate shapes, and a lectern of imposing size.
