Orgues de Bort, 4 kilometers west of Bort-les-Orgues, offering excellent views of the Auvergne.
Considered as the best observatory to contemplate the Auvergne, the Orgues de Bort, located 4 km west of Bort-les-Orgues on the RD127, are formed by phonolite flows - volcanic rock - whose extremity is cut into columns of 80 m to 100 m high over a length of 2 km. These gigantic organ pipes, shaped by time, are due to the formation of shrinkage cracks during the cooling of the lava. A road, the "Circuit des Orgues", will lead you without hindrance on the site equipped with a refreshment bar.
