Chapel built at the end of the 17th century on the remains of the arms room of the Robertie castle
This chapel, with its wide and massive base, was built at the end of the 17th century on the remains of the armoury of the Robertie Castle (14th century). The latter was responsible for the defence of the southern ramparts of the city. The pierced entrance portal welcomes in a shell niche the statue of Saint John the Baptist, the patron saint of the brotherhood. The intermediate floors have been removed and the tower of the south gable over the valley transformed into a bell tower. The white penitents used to hold ceremonies and processions there, and provided assistance to the destitute. Inside there is a remarkable altarpiece.
