The high rock, restored remains of the medieval castle, built at the end of the XIVth century in Gimel-les-Cascades
The restored remains of the medieval castle known as "La Roche Haute", built at the end of the 14th century, are located on a rocky eminence. You enter through a beautiful gate with a pointed arch overlooking a courtyard where the remains of a tower, a surrounding wall and stairs are used as a setting for the Sound and Light show given in July. A footpath connects the park of the castle to the left bank of the river thanks to a footbridge and allows you to reach the bridge of the waterfalls and the toll bridge.
