THE TRANSCORREZIAN
From 1913 to 1959, this little train crossed the department. Thus, the steam locomotive and its three wagons borrowed this railway route from Tulle to Ussel, passing through Lapleau and Neuvic. A neglected time, this link is reborn thanks to the Road and the Sentier Trail which leads to the Dordogne Gorges and offers the discovery of an original heritage. In particular the Viaduct of the Roche Taillade, named at Lapleau Viaduct des Roches Noire, 170 metres long and 92 metres high built in 1913. The joint trade union of the Transcorrézien and P.O.C. routes, installed in Espagnac, aims to enhance this heritage. It offers walkers itineraries to re-discover the old paths of clunker.
