THE GABARES OF THE DORDOGNE
A two-and-a-half-hour or five-hour canoe trip, starting at the Port de Vaurs in Monceaux-sur-Dordogne
Don't get on a barge, get in a canoe. A warm welcome and beautiful memories on the course of the Dordogne river, during a 2h30 or 5 hours paddling. Leaving in the morning from Port de Vaurs, in the commune of Monceaux-sur-Dordogne, with your canoe, you will find many sandy or pebble beaches on the Dordogne, calm even in summer, where you can sunbathe in complete tranquillity. It is possible to go up the weak current as far as Argentat to contemplate, as a privileged spectator, the fishermen's houses. The meeting point at Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, downstream, for a bus return to the base, leaves time for a stroll. For the day trip, we will prepare delicious sandwiches for you, tidied up in the waterproof canister provided with the boat.
