COMBORN CASTLE
The castle was the seat of the famous Vicomté de Comborn, one of the four Limousin. Built on the remains of a former Roman retranché camp, itself on a rocky spur above the Vézère, it was continuously improved over the centuries. From the 900 th century onwards, the family of Comborn, which was established in, spread its authority over the whole Limousin region: Turenne, then Ventadour.
