JACQUES CHIRAC MUSEUM
All areas of the museum are accessible to people with reduced mobility thanks to access ramps and elevators
Jacques Chirac had entrusted the architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte with the design, a stone's throw from his Château de Bity, of a museum to house the gifts offered, in the exercise of his duties, by heads of state and personalities from all over the world. From wool embroidery, a gift from Quebec Prime Minister Lucien Bouchard, to dromedaries in an oasis, made of fine gold and precious stones, from King Fahd Ben Abdul-Aziz Al Saoud, it is a sumptuous and enchanting journey. A trip around the world where bamboo masks from Malakula Island rub shoulders with African totems and Asian pottery.
