The Eagle Dam was built during World War II and opened at the end of the Second World War. Its completion, originally scheduled for 1942, had been postponed for not having to deliver the book to the German occupiers. In this respect it is also called in the region the "resistance dam". Of a voûte type, it is an impressive book with a water restraint of 220 million m 3, forming an expanse of 750 hectares.
