Turenne

Pretty village ranked among the most beautiful villages of France “Parking (free) on a place below the village before going in the oldest part. Many old houses, narrow streets with lots of charm, where it is good to stroll, topped by the castle of the Viscounts of Turenne. The houses of the old village create a beautiful architectural group, with numerous turrets. Some are magnificent!
It's a shame that the central square of the old village serf parking to local people, including tourist period, and even for those who have a garage! That spoils the photos that you could do.
Many craft shops (enamels…), local producers, organic or not (specialities with nuts, jams, honey, gingerbreads, wines, etc.) souvenirs and postcards.
Affordable restaurants (set menu with € __ent_numeric) but not experienced.
The narrow streets are steep but without stairs and therefore accessible to strollers.

Turenne is a beautiful village.
At the entrance of the city, I went to the Tourist Office where I was well welcomed. I was given a brochure that allowed us to visit the village following a very friendly itinerary that told on the history of the city. At the entrance of the main street a museum tells the history of the city and the Viscount of Turenne.
