THE MUSEUM OF THE COUNTRY OF USSEL
The museum of the Country of Ussel, declined on 4 sites sheltering the old trades become rare and the furniture
Opened in 1976, it is divided into 4 sites. The 18th century Hôtel Bonnot de Bay, whose walls are decorated with old and contemporary tapestries from the Marche region, houses old trades that have become rare (forge, clog maker, straw work) and furniture. In a typical turreted house, you will find the lithographic and typographic printing works where initiation and improvement courses are organised in summer. The 15th century Penitents' Chapel exhibits collections of art and religious ethnography. We recommend it!
