EARTHENWARE DISTRICT
A picturesque district famous for its bridge and cobbled alleyways, where you can take a stroll among the old houses
The picturesque Terrade district was once home to the weavers and dyers. Today, you can still follow its cobbled streets for a lovely stroll among the old granite and timber-framed houses, accessible via a path winding through the gardens, starting from the Terrade bridge. This bridge, which retains one of its two châtelets with its circular, shingled-roofed tower, typical of the Limousin region, was for many years the only means of crossing the river and was restored in 2009. In recent years, the area has undergone a major facelift.
