BLUEBEARD CASTLE OF LEYRAT
Ruins of the castle in the middle of the vegetation, in the valley of the Voueize, it would have sheltered the corpse of a follower of black magic
It is in the middle of the vegetation, in the heart of the Voueize valley, that you can discover the ruins of this 10th and 11th century castle. Nature has taken over the place, weaving links with the old stone walls overlooking the river. This mysterious place has given rise to many legends. According to some, an underground passage of the castle that led to the Voueize river is said to have housed the corpse of a black magic adept, a rumour that probably explains why it is called Bluebeard, the character of Charles Perrault.
