CROCODILE TOWERS AND HERITAGE HOUSE
Les tours de Crocq and Maison du Patrimoine, an eco-museum featuring an exhibition on the working of skins and furs.
The town developed at the foot of the castle that Robert I, the dolphin of Auvergne, had built on a rocky spur overlooking the valley of the Tardes. From the old castle and the fortifications built in the 14th century remain two impressive 12th century towers, round and massive, as well as the remains of a covered way. At the top of one of the towers, an orientation table allows you to discover the chain of volcanoes of Auvergne as well as part of the regional nature park.
The Heritage House is a communal house of the 16th century. This ecomuseum presents an exhibition on the work of skins and furs, which made the wealth of Crocq. The association of the Old Crocq and its Environment organizes guided tours.
