THE WASH HOUSE IN THE DUNET DISTRICT
The wash house of Dunet, a place to visit which is surrounded by green spaces and flowers in Dun-le-Palestel.
The wash-house of Dunet testifies to the time when the washerwomen brought their linen there. The spring, protected by a pretty fountain, never dries up. Today, this place to visit is surrounded by green spaces and flowers. Renovation work was carried out in 2005. While keeping the original framework, they recreated the six skylights that illuminate the interior. A few dozen metres from the wash house, visitors can also admire the three-lobed Dunet fountain, carved out of a single block of granite.
