PONT DE SENOUEIX
A small "Romanesque" bridge spanning the Thaurion at Gentioux, a listed site.
Set in a heather moorland landscape typical of the Millevaches plateau, this dry-stone bridge spans the Thaurion river. Listed as a Historical Monument since 1990, the bridge dates back to the 17th century. The surviving arch alone illustrates the dexterity of the builders of the time and the workmanship of Creuse stone. It supported a paved road, the traces of which can still be seen on either side of the bridge. Around the bridge are the stones that formed its masonry. The ideal setting for a picnic or a stroll.
