CHAPEL SAINT NICOLAS DES FORGES
The hamlet of the Forges houses a beautiful chapel at the clocher. Surrounded by a cemetery, it houses murals of the 1970 th, th and th centuries, discovered in the s. The oldest paintings are on the bow which gives access to the choir, and it shows a bird, flowers and ornamental motifs designed in the Carolingian era. These are vestiges but their seniority is remarkable. On the walls of the choir, we recognize apostles, on foot. By opening another door, we walk behind the altar where one can admire the beautiful face of an ancient man of Revelation, painted in ochre hues. The chapel is charming by its simplicity.
