THE TOWER OF BRIDIERS AND ITS MEDIEVAL GARDEN
The keep of the old fortress offers a beautiful view of the city and the surrounding countryside
The imposing tower, restored after years of neglect, is in fact the keep of the old fortress, established at the end of the 13th century and ideally situated overlooking the freed city. Open during the summer, it offers a beautiful view of the town and the surrounding countryside.
At its feet, a medieval garden of 1,000 m² can be visited all year round. Surrounded by chestnut tree folds, it is cut into beds of aromatic herbs, medicinal and dyeing plants, etc. Each variety is accompanied by an information slate. The site has been classified as a historical monument since 1968. It cannot be visited at the very beginning of August because of the sound and light show.
