ÉTANGS DE LA CAZINE
The Ruisseau de la Cazine connects two ponds - the Petite and Grande Cazine - which form an ecosystem composed of many different and complementary biotopes. While the northern and eastern banks of the large pond are devoted to sport fishing and carnivorous fish, the rest of the banks are now devoted to the conservation and redeployment of aquatic fauna and flora under the management of the Conservatoire d'Espaces Naturels, which intends to turn it into a refuge for biodiversity.
The hiking trail "De l'Eau et des Hommes" (Water and People) allows you to walk around the river banks along a route that alternates distant viewpoints and immediate surroundings: observation posts, fords, fountains and wash houses follow one another and show how water still represents a major resource that must be taken care of.
