OUR LADY OF THE BORNE CHAPEL
Notre-Dame-de-la-Borne chapel is rich in every view. Heritage, first of all, with the presence on the side of the building of a th century stained glass tree representing the tree of Jesse. Legendary then, since the flamboyant Gothic building would be born from an oath of a lord of Aubusson who, down in the swamps, begged Mary to save him. The thing done, he would have built a chapel in his honour. The village of La Borne is truly filled with stories and legends since, according to tradition, it should be done three times the tower of the chapel without getting wet. To have a child, it is recommended that women shake door locks… note the Fontaine fountain (th century) near the chapel and the beautiful granite calvary at the entrance to the village.
